The program is set by executive direction; aid on private property proceeds only with proper legal authority, following legal review.
The problem
A leaking roof, a porch going soft, paint peeling for years — many Tampa homeowners can see exactly what their house needs and still cannot afford to fix it. One struggling house drags the whole block's pride down, and nobody at City Hall has ever offered a hand.
The plan
Beautiful Homes Assistance helps residents repair and maintain their own homes — exterior repairs, yard and curb-appeal work, and the small fixes that keep a house sound. It is designed as help, not a handout with strings: clear eligibility, plain-language rules, and assistance that respects the homeowner's dignity.
Because this work touches private property, it moves only with proper legal authority following legal review. Results are published — homes helped, neighborhoods reached — and the Lifecycle Modernization Test decides how the program grows.
How you’ll know it’s working
- Plain-language eligibility and rules published for residents
- Homes helped and neighborhoods reached reported publicly
- Aid delivered only with proper legal authority
- Program evaluated through the lifecycle test before any expansion
